Choose your Instrument from the list to the bottom of the main page. Once you have clicked on your instrument, select the string brand you wish to view and you will be taken to a page from where you can browse through the selection. To order a product, simply press the 'Buy' button - you can change your order quantities or remove items from the basket at any time. Check your Basket contents by clicking on Basket, and also click on Basket to complete your purchase and enter your payment information. Once at the Basket page, follow the simple prompts.

History of Strings by Post

Strings by Post was founded in 1987 by Desmond and Delwen Timms as a mail order company only, supplying strings for the violin, viola and cello to customers throughout the UK, as well as attracting custom from musicians abroad. The company is specialist to the Violin family, and is proud of the fact that it is able to supply strings to players just starting out, perhaps requiring their first set of metal strings for school use, right up to professional musicians requiring the very finest quality strings. Our prices are very competitive and all inclusive, and goods are sent "by return" wherever possible. In late 1999 it was decided that the facility to order via the Internet would be an advantage, in particular to overseas customers, and our "virtual string shop" went online on February 1st 2000.
